Who are you?

We’re Matt and Viviana! We’re roommates, best friends and co-curators of the THNK1994 Museum!

What’s that?

The THNK1994 Museum started in 2015 in the hallway of our apartment. We watch a lot of movies and spend a lot of time together. After we watched the Netflix documentary 30 for 30 the price of gold by Nanette Burstein we were inspired and created a museum in our house to explore what we consider, the most American story ever told. You can see the original museum here. We met amazing artists who contributed pieces to the museum and the THNK1994 Museum was born. We are now in a permanent space at 1436 Atlantic Ave. Brooklyn NY 11216. We host events, the permanent collection and rotating temporary exhibits.

What are the temporary exhibits?

Our storefront gallery hosts rotating temporary exhibits each year. Past exhibits include Olsen Twins Hiding From the Paparazzi, Yama Kippi Yay Bo: A celebration of Kim Cattrall, and more!

What is "The Permanent Collection"?

The Permanent Collection is made up of artifacts and original art pertaining to Tonya Harding, Nancy Kerrigan and the 1994 Olympics. It was collected and originally displayed in the hallway of our old apartment in 2015. It is now on display in the back of our storefront gallery space. General admission is $6, Students $3 and members get in free.
