ABOUT

The THNK1994 Museum started in 2015 with a Kickstarter funding goal of $75 and a 25-foot long hallway. Our initial dream was to turn the hallway of our apartment into the Tonya Harding Nancy Kerrigan 1994 Museum. We ended up surpassing that funding goal and putting together a collection that includes artifacts, original works of art, and video installations. The museum was on display in our apartment for 2 years and saw visitors from across the world who were brave enough to enter a stranger’s home. You can see the video tour here.

In the process of building what we now refer to as "The Permanent Collection," we met many amazing and talented artists. It became our mission to provide an IRL space for them to showcase their work. Our exhibits celebrate icons in ways we never saw media celebrating them. We aim to praise their complexities with a general thesis being: “Good for her!” Our hope is visitors leave our spaces with a fresh look at a familiar subject and a really great Instagram post.

Today, we split our time between curating original exhibits and producing pop-ups with one-of-a-kind installation experiences.
